1 Corinthians 3:4-9

"For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men?

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building."

Isabelle update

Just wanted to update everyone on Isabelle's condition...She is done with her treatment for asthma and the ever present cough she had has decreased dramatically. However, we have noticed that when she is really active or gets really upset, the cough comes back. So, I am not really sure what to think. I've got the doctor's phone number who saw her originally as well as the doctor we used while in school. We are now trying to decide whether to take her back for a check-up, even thought the doctor who saw her originally said that wasn't necessary unless she did not improve (which she did). I've also noticed that the fatigue she was expereincing has not yet completely went away.

So, we would still greatly appreciate your prayers for her and for wisdom on our part. We are entering a three-week stretch of VBS and I am concerned about wearing her out (this is an ever-present concern with all three kids for me- the worrying mom...).

Thank you for your prayers.

Hey girl - I'm being treated for bronchitis right now - had similar symptoms as your girl. Did the doc give you a hand-held inhaler? She can use this when she gets a cough to open up her lungs. Let me know.

Glad she is doing a little better. Just make sure she rests often. Nina has the same problem with her asthma, so resting is very important. Not that you can make 6 yr olds rest often, but you can at least try:) We miss you guys and hope to see you sometime.

Erin,
No to the hand-held inhaler. She was given two inhalers that we had to put a capsule in each time she used it and she was to inhale the medicine in the capsule. Should I take her back? BTW: Thanks for keeping up on this, I appreciate my far-away friend Nurse Erin!
Glad you and Maddie made it safely back and with money in the bank :)

Naomi,
We will be back to the states in August 2009. The girls are in a wedding and we plan to stay for a little bit. Maybe we'll see you then? Thanks for keeping in touch with us :) Love you too :)
