1 Corinthians 3:4-9

"For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men?

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building."

Happy 12th birthday, Ethan!

Today we will be celebrating your life, Ethan, our only son.
Today, you turn 12. Today you are one step closer to becoming a man.
Today, you are one step farther away from the little boy you once were.
All these years, we've taken note of your firsts...first steps, first words, first haircut, etc...
Why did I not write down your lasts?
The last time I held you in my arms and rocked you to sleep.
The last time you slept snuggled close in bed with your daddy and I.
The last time you needed my help getting dressed...
You've grown so fast, my first born child.
My heart is so full of all our memories together.
I love you with an unconditional love, my sweet baby boy.
I love who you've grown to be- a reader, kind and compassionate, builder, talented drawer, careful protector, lover of Jesus, young man...

I love you, Buddy!

You are so special to your dad and me.
Happy Birthday!
