1 Corinthians 3:4-9

"For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men?

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building."

1200 miles...

Well, i must first apologize for letting so many days pass by without blogging...I've thought so much about getting on here, but time is clicking by with the miles on the speedometer. Lat I looked, we'd racked up 1200 miles, and we're still going! :)

Thursday, April 22 we left Villareal and drove to San Francisco de dos Rios, a suburb of San Jose and spent the night with our friends from Language school, Bob and B. Friday morning about 9:30, Mark and Meg came and picked us up for the airport and drove us there. It was so nice to have that hour with them in the car...you have to take what little you can get! :)

We got to the airport early and got checked in and all that and waited for our 1:00 pm flight. Boarded the plane, waited patiently for all the procedures of readying the plane...only to have the captain come on and say there was a computer problem...

Three hours later the computer finally was replaced, and we were ready to take off. Yep, we sat for three hours just off of the runway on the plane...great start to the trip...but it was not all bad. We met a mother and son from Germany and were able to get to know them and witness to them...God is good!

Due to the delay, we arrived in Orlando much later than expected and therefore did not set out on our trip to Pensacola as planned. We were pulling into a Waffle House to eat supper at midnight Friday night, and getting into bed about 1:30 am Saturday morning. We slept in Saturday, enjoyed the yummy breakfast at the Best Western (The Best Western at Orlando is AWESOME by the way if you are ever that way!) and then took off for Pensacola. We finally made it to Pensacola about 8:00 PM Saturday night. We missed lunch of arroz con pollo with Cristina and her family, and were so bummed about that not to mention the day of fellowship with Janene and David, but God knew. There had been a huge storm and tornado that went through that area and had we been on our "schedule" we'd of hit the storm area just as the worst of it was passing through. God knew.

Sunday we spent a wonderful day in God's house at Olive Baptist church in Pensacola. We love you, Olive Baptist and the Route 66 class!!! We also were able to worship in Spanish with Luz para las Naciones church, a Spanish church plant of Olive. God is faithful and HE provides! We so enjoyed our time with los hermanos of this church! We were able to connect with some awesome people in service at Olive- thank you for your encouragement and hospitality!!!

Monday we had the awesome privilege to speak to the great kids at East Hill Christian School. Those kids blew us away- it was awesome opportunity and we thank God for allowing us to be there.

Thank you so much, Janene and David for everything! We love you both!!!

We enjoyed a quick stop at the beach- just enough to feel the sand and stick our toes in...before we took off for Biloxi...we hated to say goodbye to our friends, Janene and David and their little dog Lucky, but we were excited to see the Lee's in Mississippi. We enjoyed a nice couple of days with them and getting caught up on life in Biloxi. We went fishing in a bay of the Gulf of Mexico and Isabelle caught a sting ray right off the bat!

We were blessed to visit Thomasville, GA next...thank you David and Latrelle for fixin' us up real nice! (I've learned that it only takes bout a week a living in the south til ya'll starta talk like ya live there...) We LOVE Conehaven and hope to visit there again soon! Thomasville First Baptist and Pastor Dan- you are awesome!!! We had a great time meeting so many of the fine folks in Thomasville Saturday night and enjoyed the fellowship and encouragement! THANK YOU!!!

Now we are enjoying catching up with good friends that live just a little north in GA. We are praying for good weather and safety as we travel. There have been many thunderstorms recently and flash flooding. Please pray for safety and wisdom as we travel. We've cancelled plans to travel into the city tomorrow because of the weather.

We thank God for this time as a family and to meet new families, and visit with new churches and to catch up with supporters and friends. God PROVIDES!!! :)

Pictures to come...sometime soon! :)
