1 Corinthians 3:4-9

"For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," are you not mere men?

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building."

Another milestone--so fun! So sorry to hear about Isabelle's asthma. It is so hard to accept the diagnosis for a chronic illness like asthma. Darryl and I will pray for you and Matt to have strength to accept this and to deal with it on a day-to-day basis. Maybe God has plans to heal her, which would be awesome, but if He chooses not to, we'll pray for you to be able to trust Him for her protection as she lives with this. Having a child with rheumatoid arthritis (Austin) has taken our family to a whole new level of trust and God has been faithful in helping us accept and deal with the struggles of a "new kind of normal". It has been almost 7 years since he was diagnosed, but we still struggle at times with wondering "why" and "what if" something different had prevented him from getting it (RA is an autoimmune disorder that they think can be triggered by viruses going around). But it all boils down to the fact that God has a greater purpose that at this point we don't understand; we just have to surrender our children (again) to His care and keeping and pray that He will be glorified in the middle of it all. Easy to say--hard to do at times! So hang on and let us know how we can pray for you and encourage you... (By the way, I might have accidentally posted twice; feel free to delete one post if that happens)
